My partner and I are looking for help with BBQ, happy to pay for some tuition.
Hi all,
I am 36 years old and my primary job is as a fairly highly trained maintenance engineer. I am still working full time as a shift worker but looking for a little extra flexible work to fit into my rest days. My academic training involves a Bachelors Degree in engineering and 5 years of college in various subjects across a range of subjects; so basically I am very good with my hands and there's not much I can't build/fix/create. My base trade is electrical/electronics so I am confident on electrical systems and appliances; however I am not 'Part P' registered at this time so cannot sign off works - so basic electrical works only for now (e.g. minor circuit alterations, sockets, lights, repairs etc).
I like to keep physically active so I am more than happy to labouring, garden work, landscaping etc. Even if there is a task that I am not familiar with (e.g. pond making), I am happy to do research and work it out, and reflect my inexperience in the price.
Due to my upbringing of lego and similar construction toys, I am a bit of a fan of flat pack (sad I know). I find it quite theraputic. I can either do flatpack one-off items or a whole job lot - prices would be dependant on hot big an item and discount for multiple items.
As a hobby I make custom items of furniture and similar. I do a lot of work with resins and I enjoy upscaling furniture. I also create custom items for situations where things off-the-shelf might not be a perfect fit.
Like I said before, there's not really much I can't build/fix/create so if you have a task and it's not included in my list then just ask. Typically my prices will be lower than most as I don't rely on this as my primary income; I just enjoy being helpful.
