Keep communication through the CareToShare private messaging service initially so that we can assist should any problems arise. We recommend you then speak on the telephone to confirm your booking for learning skills or having tasks done.
Remember when meeting for the first time to meet in a public place and where necessary ask for proof of identification to make sure the person you meet is the person you communicated with on CareToShare.
If you are meeting an academic tutor or music teacher who you wish to instruct your children please make sure to see a DBS check and ALSO take up references beforehand and verify the person's identification. Do not under any circumstances leave your tutor with an under 18 year old on their own, treat the situation the same as if this were a tutor recommended by your friends or family, always safety first approach and common sense.
Pay for any teaching or tasks done after completion, if you are asked for part pre-payment please report this to CareToShare customer support.
Feel free to ask anyone carrying out DIY where they should be insured to show you their proof of insurance before carrying out a task.
Make sure to see any proof of qualifications that your teacher or person doing your task should have.
